Each of Linda’s devotionals is a written prayer of hope and encouragement for people desperate for hope and encouragement. As a member of Linda’s Bible study group we helped her assemble the devotionals as individual cards; and we, with Linda, prayed over them. We prayed that each card recipient would find peace and clarity. We also prayed that God would reveal the plans that he had for them and their families.
For all of us whose lives were touched by our sister in Christ, Linda, we thank God. Linda’s messages have blessed many and they continue to bless as God gave her the light to write them.

I had the privilege of caring for Linda on her cancer journey. From that journey sprang forth an outreach ministry focused on messages aimed to provide strength and comfort to others on that same journey. Linda had a deep insight into what others were going through. This was reflected in her inspirational messages, which were anticipated and enjoyed by other patients, families, friends, and staff members. Only God knows how many lives have been touched by Linda’s cards! They go with me everywhere I go – restaurants, ball games, soccer games, hospitals, doctor appointments, nursing homes, hair salons, motels in various states (approximately 10), even a yard sale or two! Without fail, God puts people in my path who need encouragement, or know someone who does, because of cancer or some other serious illness. I don’t know who is more blessed, the people receiving the cards, or me!
But I think what touches me the most is when God sends nurses my way who work in an oncology office or on the oncology floor of a hospital, and I am able to give them cards to pass out to patients, because that was Linda’s heart. She liked to deliver cards and baskets of encouragement, and sit with people while they were getting their treatments. She truly lived out the scripture verses in 1 Corinthians 1:3-4 which say: “…the God of all comfort …comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God”
It is truly a privilege to be even a small part of this ministry that is ‘reflecting God’s light,” and touching lives everywhere it goes! I can’t wait to see what God has planned for it next!
